I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in working with children, adolescents and adults. My overarching professional goal is to empower my patients and their families with thoughtful, creative, personalized treatment and help them enjoy a sustainably healthy future.
By offering both psychotherapy and medication-management services, I am able to tackle emotional challenges with a multidisciplinary outlook. With a background in neuroscience and several post-graduate psychiatric degrees, I pair my education with a combination of therapeutic streams, including mindfulness, positive psychology and adaptive responses to stress. I am also experienced in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, motivational enhancement, family therapy, parent management training and reproductive psychiatry. I have advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, depression, and OCD and Interpersonal Therapy for Adolescents.
While known for blending therapies that are both creative and traditional, I pay special attention to my patients’ individual needs. I tailor each treatment personally, and I am an advocate of working with both children’s schools and outside agencies when necessary.
After receiving a degree in neuroscience at Tulane University, I earned a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed my adult psychiatric training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I then completed my advanced child-psychiatric fellowship at the New York Presbyterian–Columbia and Cornell Fellowship Program in New York City, learning from global experts in the field. I currently sit on the board of the New York Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
