Comprehensive Adolescent & Young Adult DBT Program

The Gold Center for Mind Health & Wellness is excited to launch its comprehensive DBT Program for Adolescents and Young Adults.  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a type of cognitive therapy that aims to change negative thinking patterns and strive for positive change. It provides hands-on skills for managing self destructive, self-sabotaging and suicidal behaviors. DBT focuses on mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal relationship skills and distress tolerance.

Adolescent DBT Program: (14-18 years old)

  • Family and Patient intake
  • Weekly Virtual multi-family DBT skills group (parents required to attend)
  • Weekly individual therapy (remote or in-person) with Gold Center therapist or private DBT therapist
  • Phone coaching available to support skills development
  • Individual parent DBT coaching available on as needed basis
  • Consultations with schools and other health care professionals

Program runs for 24 weeks and booster sessions and groups are available

Young Adult DBT Program: (18-28 years old)

  • Patient Intake
  • Weekly Virtual DBT skills group
  • Weekly individual therapy with Gold Center therapist or private DBT therapist
  • Phone coaching available to support skills development
  • Consultations with other health care professional

Program runs for 24 weeks and booster sessions and groups are available
